Opportunity available for either experienced Wind Technicians or people looking for entry into the Wind Industry! Electrical or Mechanical background.

About the Role
Reporting directly to the Lead Technician, you will be one of the team of Turbine Technicians who will ensure that operations and maintenance work is executed safely, to a high standard and with minimal downtime to the assets on a major Wind farm based in Gunning regional NSW.
Duties
  • Comply with the preventative and corrective maintenance to all infrastructure of the wind farm
  • Carry out maintenance activities necessary to ensure the wind turbines, BoP and ACCIONA Energy’s business objectives are met
  • Assist in the preparation of work plans/programs, procedures, job instructions, ITP’s and participate in actively carrying out the work in conjunction with all other members of the team
  • Participate in a call-in roster basis as the site is a 24/7 operation
  • Ensure that safety, health requirements and cleanliness of facility and equipment are met.
  • Actively participate in WHSE, toolbox and daily pre-start meetings
  • Assist in the completion of Wind Turbine scheduled and unscheduled maintenance
  • Assist in maintaining wind farm Balance of Plant equipment
  • Maintain good working relationships with all stakeholders
  • Assist in achieving targeted wind farm performance standards
Skill, Experience and QualificationsEssential
  • Appropriate Trade Certificate in Electrical or Mechanical Disciplines.
  • Electrical trade must or be able to hold a valid Electrical License
  • Basic computer skills and familiar with the Microsoft Office suite
  • Current driver license (Manual Vehicle).
  • Capacity to undertake responsibilities in accordance with the ACCIONA Energía Safety Management System.
  • Ability to maintain qualifications relevant to the industry, including:
    • o Electrical or Mechanical trade certificate
    • o First Aid Level 2
    • o Working at Heights
