Working as part of a multi-disciplinary Directed Workforce, your primary focus will be implementing technical and engineering tasks associated with the UH- 60M Black Hawk Avionics and Software systemsTo be successful in this role it is essential that you have:
- Significant experience in multi-discipline engineering development programs, using applicable Systems Engineering Management processes in the Information and Communications, ICT design, ICT capacity management and Simulation Test Domains.
- Experience in development of methodologies on complex systems applying documented engineering principles and processes..
- Significant experience within a Defence engineering and regulatory framework
- Extensive experience working with a broad set of internal and external stakeholders and partnering organisations to achieve common goals.
- Tertiary qualification in Systems Engineering or relevant discipline from a recognised institution

- Development of avionics changes to type design in accordance with airworthiness requirements;
- Assessment of OEM avionics and software Changes to Type Design against local airworthiness requirements and local configuration, role and environmental conditions;
- Conduct technical investigations into in-service UH-60M avionics or software issues and incidents, and support technical remediation activities.
- Manage Australian avionics software assurance activities in accordance with Defence Aviation Safety Regulations (DASRs) requirements.
- Support the management of UH-60M software load control and criticality lists as required by the DASRs and the UH-60M program.
- A Bachelor Degree in Engineering (Aerospace -Avionics, Electrical/Electronic/Software) and relevant industry experience.
- Extensive knowledge and experience in Aircraft Avionics Systems/Subsystems
- Knowledge of aircraft Software Assurance and certification processes (e.g DO178/ED-12)
- Significant knowledge of Configuration Management and baselining of engineering artifacts.
- Knowledge of Aircraft System Safety and its significance in Complex Systems.
- Driven to learn and take on challenges in a new domain area.
- Excellent ability to successfully manage to completion a broad range of tasks and, at times, conflicting demands
