This role will support the implementation of Technical Publications for aircraft technical manuals and information in support of UH-60M Black Hawk capability. As the Publications / ICT Officer you will be providing guidance to project management, ILS leads, project staff, and customers for all documentation activities.

Following an announcement by the Australian Government to investigate the acquisition of UH-60M Black Hawk helicopters from the US Government, Lockheed Martin Australia is looking to establish a core team of experienced military Rotary Wing professionals to support the potential procurement and sustainment activities. The modern-day, 3rd Generation UH-60M Black Hawk helicopter is the world’s leading multi-role battlefield and special operations helicopter with a proven legacy of exceptional capability and reliability. We are pleased to invite applications for the position of UH-60M Publications Officer to join our UH-60M Black Hawk team.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Undertake the coordination and/or maintenance of technical publication amendments for implementation of UH-60M Black Hawk publications
- Oversee and support distribution of UH-60M Black Hawk publications through ICT systems
- Work collaboratively with the System Program Office to establish, develop and maintain the publications capability
About you:
You will have strong computer literacy skills, and be a self-motivated and outcomes driven individual; enjoying investigating issues and being able to pre-empt problems and create opportunities for improvement. Ideally you will hold Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline (Communications, Information Technology, etc.) from a recognised institution, and/or equivalent relevant experience (preferably within the defence industry).
To be successful in this role you will also have:
- Solid administrative experience in configuration management and advanced information technology skills
- Familiarity of DEF (AUST) 5629C and Australian Air Publication (AAP) 5030
- Experience within an engineering and/or maintenance environment
- Prior experience within the defence aviation industry
- Proven experience with ADF aviation publications and amendments
Special Requirements:
Applicants are required to be Australian Citizens and hold a current or reinstatable NV1 Defence Security Clearance or be eligible to gain this.
The location of this role will be at Enoggera Barracks in Brisbane.
