Ui Engineer - Web Components

Robert Walters has been engaged by a well-regarded major firm to assist in the search for a UI Engineer for a long-term project.
Working with our client's platforms team, the UI engineer will play a critical role in the creation and implementation of best-in-class components and UI elements.
This role will be ideal for a talented front-end engineer with top-notch HTML and CSS skills, and experience working across a variety of frontend frameworks.
About the Role;
-Initial 6-month contract with extension potential up to 3 years
-Flexible work environment, with office days only when it is truly necessary
-Highly collaborative team environment
Technical Requirements;
● Experience in ui development with a minimum of 4 years in the industry
● Strong understanding of Typescript/Javascript, html, css.
● Experienced in (preferably multiple) frameworks such as ReactJs, Vue etc.
● Experience in frameworks for Web Components such as Lit or StencilJS will highly regarded
● Experience with component based architecture and development
● Experience in Progressive Web Apps (PWA)
● Realtime performant data loading via APIs, Websockets
● State management of complex data models to drive interactive ui
● Interactive Canvas, SVG visualisation using libraries such as d3, chartjs
● Automation testing for unit / integration / acceptance, test driven development (TDD).
Soft Skill Requirements;
● Excellent communication and collaboration skills
● Self motivated, eager to learn and comfortable asking questions
● Capable of implementing code from requirement documents / tickets
● Understanding of Agile methodology, JIRA
● Comfortable working in a sprint based environment
● Comfortable with Peer Reviews and receiving feedback
