About the roles
Underground Coal Mine Maintenance Fitters wanted!
Your experience as an Underground Maintenance Fitters for Fitzroy's Carborough DownsCoal Mine is highly sought. You will be working in either Outbye, Bord & Pillar or Longwall.
The role will include:
- Working safely and efficiently in all associated department functions, to support the achievement of production and or maintenance targets and undertake any other tasks for the operations;
- Preparation, planning and timely execution of daily work as issued from the approved weekly schedules;
- Ensuring that any maintenance activities are carried out in compliance with relevant coal mining legislation and requirements;
- Contributing to the development of a safe, positive and collaborative organisational culture;

To be successful in this position we are looking for someone who is passionate about mining coal and the ideal candidate will hold:
- Significant previous experience working in Underground Coal operations.
- Relevant Trade Qualification and Tickets.
- Standard 11 Surface & Underground
- Current Driver's license
- Demonstrated history of working safely.
- Commitment to the achievement of business goals and outcomes.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work well within a team.
