About The Role
We are currently seeking an experienced underground coal Fitter to support our Underground Mining Operations by providing vital maintenance work on our underground mining equipment. This important role will be based in Narrabri, NSW.
What You’ll Do
- Carry out repairs and preventative maintenance work on underground mining equipment
- Maintain plant availability through inspections, fault finding, diagnosis and remediation actions.
- Report on defects and update maintenance and production logs
- Complete planned and routine maintenance as per schedule.
- Provide input into root cause analysis and subsequent resolution of issues affecting equipment reliability.
- Maintain plant safety and security, and control safe work access.
- Perform breakdown activities in a safe and proficient manner.
What You’ll Bring
- Australian Recognised Mechanical Trade Qualification including NSW Certificate of Proficiency
- Minimum 12-months experience working in an underground mine
- Experience working on mining or heavy earthmoving machinery
- Must demonstrate a personal commitment to safety
- Ability to work rotating shifts – day, night and afternoon
