Unigrain has a proud and successful record as a cereal, grain and animal nutrition miller. With over 120 dedicated employees, Unigrain mills from both its Victorian and West Australian mills with a focus on the manufacture of oat cereal product for breakfast cereal markets across Australia, New Zealand, Asia and South Africa.
We are seeking an Electrician to join the dedicated teams in Smeaton (Ballarat), Victoria and Wagin, Western Australia. This role is a permanent full-time day shift, however some outside hours work will be required for shut-down maintenance.
To be successful in this position you will have the following:
- 3 years or more experience
- An Electrical Trade Certificate (or equivalent)
- Experience in industrial electrics, including motor control, variable frequency drives, PLC, automation and instrumentation
- Working knowledge of mechanical equipment and the skills to maintain and repair the equipment
- Boiler operating qualifications (or be willing to obtain them)
- A forklift licence (desirable but not essential)
- An EWP ticket (desirable but not essential)
- A current Drivers Licence and your own reliable transport
You will be responsible for managing mechanical breakdowns, routine and preventative maintenance tasks to ensure production targets are met. This role is a permanent full-time day shift, however some outside hours work will be required for shut-down maintenance.
The successful candidate will possess proven experience working:
- Significant experience working in FMCG or Mills industries
- Fabrication skills including MIG Welding experience
- Previous PM and breakdown maintenance experience (desirable)
- Experience with pneumatics, automation and hydraulic (desirable)
- A proven team player and flexibility to carry out site work when required
- Reliable and able to work unsupervised
- Comfortable working at heights
- A forklift licence (desirable but not essential)
- An EWP ticket (desirable but not essential)
- A current Drivers Licence and your own reliable transport
We are seeking Electronic Instrument Trades Worker to join the dedicated team in Wagin, Western Australia. These permanent full time roles operate on a 24/7 shift.
Reporting to the Production Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining and adjusting the milling equipment for our Oat Mill, Flaking Mill and Stockfeed Pellet Mill.
To be successful in this position the following is required:
- 3 years relevant experience with the milling equipment and PLCs used on either site, preferably gained from working in a grain mill
- A formal qualification in mechanical or electrical engineering
- Excellent knowledge of SQF and HACCP programs
- Strong computer skills
- Excellent communication and relationship building skills
- A current Drivers Licence and your own reliable transport
- A strong commitment to a safe working environment
About the role
You will be responsible for maintaining and adjusting the milling equipment for the Oat Mill, Flaking Mill and Stockfeed Pellet Mill.
Engineers must be physically fit to cope with the numerous stairs within the Mill and must be able to work in dusty environments.
To be successful in this position the following is required:
- 3 years relevant experience with grain milling equipment and PLCs
- A formal qualification in mechanical or electrical engineering
- Strong computer skills and knowledge of SQF and HACCP programs
- Excellent communication and relationship building skills
- A current Drivers Licence and own reliable transport
- A strong commitment to a safe working environment
To be successful in this position you will have the following:
- Experience as Quality Analyst with particular emphasis on quality within a grain processing facility (desirable)
- Tertiary or higher education in food safety or occupational health and safety qualification (desirable)
- Excellent knowledge of SQF and HACCP programs
To be considered for one of the above positions, it is essential that you possess relevant qualifications and have 3+ years experience in a similar position.
A remuneration package of $70,000 - $80,000 will be negotiated with the successful candidates for the above roles.
