The Role
We are currently seeking an Unreal Engine Developer with virtual reality experience for a fixed 24-month contract to work on an exciting international virtual reality training program.
Experience in developing for virtual reality with strengths in C++ and blueprints will put you at the top of our list. Knowledge of interfacing custom external hardware to the engine is also highly desirable.
Responsibilities
- Develop clean, efficient, and scalable C++ code and blueprints.
- Optimise performance and memory usage for seamless gameplay for VR headsets.
- Collaborate with team members to implement engaging gameplay mechanics, user interfaces and visual effects.
- Interface custom external hardware controllers with the engine.
- Offer creative & technical solutions to enhance project quality and experience.
- Stay updated on industry trends and tools to enhance skills and productivity.
Requirements
- Motivated self-starter with good organisational and communication skills.
- Bachelor of Computer Science or related field.
- 2-4 years of professional Unreal Engine experience in gaming or interactive media.
- Proficiency in C++ programming and blueprints.
- Strong knowledge of game development principles, algorithms, and data structures.
- Strong skillset in implementing multiplayer gameplay scenarios.
- Interfacing custom external hardware controllers with the engine.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Samples of previous work supporting your industry experience.
