We are looking for a Sewing Machinist / Upholsterer to join our friendly team! Whilst sewing machinist experience is advantageous, this is an entry level role which has an experienced team that can train and mentor you, so if you’re a recent school leaver or have a keen interest in this area, we want to hear from you!
In this role, you will be operating industrial sewing machines to assist in creating high quality office furniture solutions, working in our new Kemps Creek warehouse as a key member of our production team!
Duties Include:
- Making and maintaining fabric and foam patterns and templates
- Hands on upholstery work, such as cutting, sewing, and fitting and framework assembly
- Involvement in product prototyping and sample manufacturing
- Oversight of soft seating, booth seating and other upholstery work on the factory floor
To be successful in this role, you will have –
- Ability to read and interpret patterns
- Experience using sewing machines, either home or industrial
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to meet production timelines and have a Health and Safety mindset
- Ability to follow procedures and work well in a team
