We’re on the hunt for driven team players to join our Snackbrands Australia team in the role of Utilities Plant Opearators Reporting to the Facilities Manager, these roles will be based in our new state-of-the-art manufacturing site in Orchard Hills.
Working 3 - 4 days on a rotating roster which is perfect for work/life balance, our 12 hr shifts are as follows
- Day Shift 6am - 6pm
- Night Shift 6pm - 6am
Snackbrands Australia is part of Intersnack Group GmbH, a German snack food company with a turnover of €4 billion and operations in 27 countries. This is an exciting time to join the company with a transformational project underway, constructing a brand new manufacturing facility in Greater Sydney.
About the role:
In this role you will oversee the operation and reporting of various Utilities processes, including Waste Water, Steam and hot water boilers, Air compressors, Chilled water plant, and Cooling towers.
- Ensure utilities operate within agreed performance ranges
- Sample as required for process conditions and discharge
- Conduct daily checks and record information on site systems (boilers, steamers, chillers)
- Adjustment to Chemical addition based on TDS results
- Water sampling and result recording
- Ensure that the site achieves its WH&S and Quality targets
- Keep records of boiler performance and trends
- Implement Continuous improvement opportunities through the engagement and application of Continuous Improvement tools and methodologies such as IWS
- Escalate issues to service contractors
What you’ll bring to the role:
- Ideally Trade qualified
- Minimum 5-year experience in FMCG, pharmaceutical or relevant manufacturing environments.
- Forklift license is desirable
- High levels of integrity and accountability - you own your decisions and can be counted on to do what you say you will
- Routine preventative maintenance experience.
- Problem-solving ability.
- Good communication skills and willingness to work in a team environment.
- Continuous commitment to Safety.
- Computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, office 365, MEX maintenance
