The Opportunity:
LandPartners’ Locating market is Identifying and Surveying subsurface features to deliver 3D utility mapping to our clients.
As a Locator, you will join the LandPartners team in Brisbane, working in the field, directly alongside our Surveyors.
You will be working on medium to large projects, mainly for Engineering Design purposes, including early works for road upgrades / new pipelines and identifying site constraints for infill and new developments.
You will be using the latest and best equipment including RD8200G or VLoc Locator, Proceq GS8000, IDS Opera Duo and IDS Stream C GPR units, and post-processing GPR using IQMaps or Geolitix
Expand your capabilities from Locating for construction, to Locating for accurate 3D utility mapping and modelling.
We don’t just Locate; we provide 3D solutions to our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation of pre-Locate documentation (DBYD search, SWMS)
- Undertaking Locating works using both EML and GPR equipment.
- Working alongside our Surveyors to confirm and explain your Locating results for accurate survey pickup.
- Post-Processing GPR data.
- Reviewing the Surveyor’s plans of your Locating data, providing input on the results.
- Preparing Locating Reports.
- From time to time, working as a Survey Assistant.
Qualifications and Skills:
- BYDA/Telstra Certified Locator accreditation.
- 1 - 3+ minimum years utility locating experience with both EML and GPR equipment
- Driver’s licence (preferable manual)
- Unrestricted rights to work in Australia.
- Ability to do some weekend and night work.
