Key Areas of Responsibility for this role include:
Safety
- Live the EDL SPIRIT values
- Actively ensure own health and safety and the health and safety of others through understanding and implementing workplace health and safety obligations, policies and procedures
- Maintain a culture of reporting and continuous improvement of risk management tools used on site
Operation and Maintenance Duties will include:
- Monitoring station alarms and codes
- Monitor major pieces of plant within ideal operating range
- Complete weekly inspections and checks on equipment
- Complete HSE inspections including hazard reporting
- Drain station low points / condensate collection points
- Monitor engine coolant pressures and perform top ups
- Take and despatch oil samples and perform oil top ups and changes
- Grease alternators and monitor bearing temperature
- Receive and despatch goods to site
- Utilise the maintenance management system for inventory, procurement and work order functions
- Perform inventory stocktake
- Support site operators in servicing and maintenance activities as directed

Qualifications and Experience
- This role is a trainee position with a pathway to apprenticeship or process plant qualification
- Sound understanding of health and safety, environmental requirements
- Previous work experience in an industrial or heavy operational setting
