The role
As a UX/UI Designer at equ, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic and creative direction of our projects. From comprehending business requirements to conducting user research and analysis, you'll be instrumental in translating strategy into user flows, site maps, wireframes, prototypes, and crafting exquisite UI designs.
Reporting to the Digital Experience Lead, your responsibilities will include:
- Collaborating directly with clients to create captivating digital experiences.
- Gathering, comprehending, and documenting requirements.
- Conducting quantitative and qualitative research activities, such as user interviews, card sorting, and A/B testing.
- Organising engaging workshops with clients and end-users, such as customer journey mapping sessions or service blueprints.
- Analysing research and data to reveal valuable user insights.
- Defining and developing user personas, information architecture, wireframes, and prototypes.
- Designing and crafting elegant user interfaces.
- Proactively identifying strategic opportunities with both existing and prospective clients and presenting outcome-driven solutions for buy-in.
- Keeping yourself and the team up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in UX and UI design.
Who we are looking for
You will need a genuine passion for UX and UI design with the ability to translate this passion into practical solutions for our clients. Effective communication is key, as you will need to facilitate workshops and confidently present to clients and also have:
- A minimum of 4 years' experience specialising in UX and UI design for websites, apps, and digital products.
- Proficiency in relevant tools, including Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and a working knowledge of Optimal Workshop, Miro, and Slickplan (highly regarded).
- A tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline.
- Excellent time-management skills and a keen attention to detail.
- The ability to work well under pressure and manage competing priorities.
- Strong interpersonal skills, capable of building lasting working relationships.
- A high level of personal awareness and the ability to embrace constructive feedback when necessary.
