The development of future talent is at the heart of everything we do.A global leader in valves, emissions management and gas turbine solutions, the provision of an extensive range of services across multiple global markets makes Score a dynamic workplace where no two days are the same.Combining the legacy of 40+ years' industry experience with ever-evolving ideas and innovation, our energetic team is working together to make a real difference in the journey towards a sustainable future and we're always ready to embrace fresh ideas and talent.Your Role within our TeamThe Valve Technician will join our team and will be responsible for carrying out overhauls, tests and recertification on different types of valves and actuators as directed by the workshop team lead in line with company, HSE and Quality standards.This position is Full-time, Monday to Friday, workshop hours are between 7.00am to 4.00pm.The hourly rate for this role is $35 - $42 per hour, plus superannuation.Overtime is available and trips offshore or to remote sites as and when required by the client.Your ResponsibilitiesAs an experienced member of our Team at Score Group you'll be required to;- Carry out PSV overhaul and recertification.
- Strip, assess and re-build, complete in-depth inspection reports for all types of valves (Ball, Globe, Gate, Choke, Check, Butterfly, Control, - - Safety etc) in both workshop and site-based environments.
- Strip, assess and assemble all types of valve operators.
- Carry out pressure tests to various industry specifications.
- Work under own initiative and part of a team.
- Work safely and adhere to Company safety systems, standards or any other requirements from customers or their sites.What experience you will need to succeed- Previous role as a Valve Technician in a workshop environment is essential.
- Technical qualification in a mechanical discipline, (Cert III in Mechanical Fitting or equivalent).
- Machining capability and Forklift License would be advantageous, but not essential.Behaviours and Skills- Effective communication skills.
