- Design and develop engaging lesson plans and teaching materials aligned with the VCE Chemistry curriculum.
- Deliver high-quality instruction to students, facilitating their understanding of complex chemical concepts and theories.
- Create and administer assessments, including tests, quizzes, and exams, to evaluate student comprehension and progress.
- Organize and supervise laboratory experiments and activities, ensuring the safety and proper handling of chemicals and equipment.
- Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback and support to help students achieve academic success.
- Collaborate with other teachers, department members, and school administrators to enhance the overall learning experience for students and contribute to the school community.
- Participate in extracurricular activities related to chemistry, such as science fairs, clubs, or competitions, to further enrich students' learning experiences.
- Must have full Australian working rights
- Completed relevant Qualifications in Education
- Hold current VIT registration
- Demonstrate previous experience in teaching VCE Chemistry
- Ability to provide contact details for two education-based references from within the last 5 years (student-teacher mentors are acceptable).
- Commencing as a full-time, ongoing position starting from Term 3 with handover given end of Term 2
- Instructing VCE students in Chemistry and possible General Science 7-10
- Engaging with accessible and transparent leadership
