  • Selecting and planting seeds, seedlings and bulbs, and grafting new varieties to root stocks.
  • Scouting crops to identify pest, disease and nutritional issues before they reach damaging thresholds.
  • Maintaining and evaluating records of activities, monitoring market activity, and planning crop preparation and production to meet contract requirements and market demand.
  • Producing weekly reports on scouting findings and advising on corrective actions for any issues found.
  • Ensuring supplies are ordered as required to complete weekly and daily tasks.
  • Managing budgets and monthly stock takes.
  • Supporting with recruiting and training of new employees and contractors.

  • Ability to work well in a team.
  • Ability to also work autonomously and manage own time.
  • Strong communicator, both written and verbal.

Tertiary qualifications in agriculture, horticulture, agronomy, science will be highly regarded.
