About the role This Vegetation Officer role plays an important role in providing input into the establishment and ongoing operation of vegetation management in both the Distribution and Transmission network, to assist in the delivery of TasNetworks' vegetation strategy. Vegetation management is crucial for managing risks to the network and maintaining reliability. In this role you will be responsible to liaise with stakeholders both internal and external, the issuing of works where required, monitor contractor performance through routine audits to ensure all contractors are correctly carrying out vegetation works, coordinating outages and are utilising acceptable ARBORI culture. You will manage and conduct audits of completed vegetation inspections, treatment and works in progress to verify performance against agreed work plans and ensure compliance with contractual, safety, environmental, customer and quality standards. About you You will be self motivated and able to work autonomously, with demonstrated experience within the field of vegetation management (ideally power utility), in particular vegetation contractor management. You will proactively work with customers to solve issues in the field, negotiate and resolve customer issues related to vegetation and provide construction and planting advice with stakeholders and the community. You will also hold: Experience in arboriculture practices Providing first aid in ESI environments Working safely near live electrical apparatus as non-electrical worker (UETDREL006) Current and valid Driver's Licence Certificate II in Arboriculture - desirable What's on offer This is a full time permanent opportunity.
