The Opportunity
The Department of Transport (DoT) is looking for people with excellent verbal and written communication skills who are passionate about Vehicle Compliance, to further their career via its comprehensive training program.

In this dynamic Vehicle Compliance Examiner role, you will be responsible for assessing vehicle modifications, assessing engineering reports and issuing modification approval certificates. You will provide support to industry and the community through the audit of standard and modified vehicle inspections.
Currently there is 1 x permanent full-time position available for immediate filling.
About You
  • Demonstrated possession of an Automotive Trade Certificate
  • Demonstrate experience in a broad automotive background
  • Ability to communicate and negotiate with a diverse range of people, including ability to adapt communication according to targeted audience
  • Demonstrate experience in the application of Australian Design Rules (ADRs) in the context of vehicle examinations
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and constructively as at team member
Successful applicants will be required to provide a satisfactory National Police Clearance and a valid C class of WA Driver’s License before commencing employment.

What is a recruitment pool?
This is a pool recruitment process; we use recruitment pools to build a bank of talent who we feel might be suited to future opportunities within the Department of Transport. You may join us on a full-time, part-time, fixed term or permanent basis however an appointment is not guaranteed.
This pool process can be used to fill other part time and full-time positions that may arise over the next twelve months.
The recruitment pool will remain open for a period of twelve (12) months from the date of first appointment.
