As our organisation anticipates the delivery of our exciting new Outlet and Events Venue – The Homestead, we have an opportunity for an exceptional and experienced Venue Manager to manage The Homestead – including The Patio (Dining & Bar) and Events. Reporting to the Director of Food & Beverage, this role is responsible for the operational management of The Homestead to position it as a leading, bespoke dining and Events Venue on the Gold Coast.
About the Role As a food and beverage service leader, you will lead The Homestead Food & Beverage Teams and oversee the day-to day management of the Venue ensuring a high level of service standards, food quality and delivering a vibrant and engaging guest experience.
As a leader in our diverse and value-driven organisation, you will mentor a team of food and beverage professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation. You will play an integral role in our pre-opening team, supporting the planning, recruitment, training and supply & inventory management to prepare Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary to enter the bespoke dining and Events market and deliver a memorable dining and events experience.
As our Venue Manager, you will have experience in both Outlets and Event Management to develop and deliver operational policies and procedures ensuring all staff are trained and able to deliver a high level of service. You will work collaboratively with our Events and Food & Beverage Leadership Teams, to ensure a high standard of food (and beverage) presentation and knowledge, and the consistent delivery of exceptional events and to drive our commercial targets.
About You To be successful in this role, you will have previous experience as a Venue Manager in a high-volume venue, and proven experience leading teams to deliver a high level of food and beverage service, and able to successfully manage operations to deliver operational and financial targets. Other key skills that would make you a valuable candidate include:
Passion for service excellence and providing superior hospitality and food & beverage knowledge.
Experience managing all aspects of the Restaurant, Corporate and Social Events, and Weddings.
Demonstrated experience developing and implementing operating policies and procedures and delivering practical and hands-on training.
Manage service quality and customer relations, ensuring high standards are consistently met and ability to coach and inspire with a supportive leadership approach.
Visible management in the Outlet/Events Venue and ability to work rotating roster including weekends, public holidays, opening and closing shifts.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
