Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Vet Category Procurement Manager to join our team. This role is embedded within the Vet Operations business, with a dotted line to the Head of Procurement. You’ll lead complex sourcing initiatives, oversee contract integration, and manage the category to ensure commercial benefits.
Key areas of responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Develop tailored procurement solutions for the Vet business.
- Deliver Gross Margin improvements and optimize ‘Cost of Doing Business’.
- Enhance procurement operations and processes to drive efficiencies.
- Manage end-to-end commercial processes, from tendering to contract completion.
- Oversee supplier performance management and foster strategic partnerships.
- Ensure risk management and governance, safeguarding business interests.
- Advocate sustainable practices into contracted business outcomes.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will have:
- At least 7-8 years’ experience in procurement, preferably in a veterinary, healthcare, pharmaceutical, or FMCG setting.
- Exceptional change management and negotiation skills.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to review, analyse, and recommend commercial outcomes.
- Strong communication (written and verbal) with a high level of interpersonal skills.
- Advanced data analysis and reporting skills with the ability to present data in an accurate manner using necessary tools (e.g. PowerPoint)
You are results-oriented with the ability to develop positive, professional relationships across varied stakeholder groups. You are a natural problem solver who enjoys planning and who also thrives in ambiguous, fast-paced environments.
