Due to an exciting promotion to Royal Canin’s Head office in France, we are now seeking a new Vet Channel Director (known internally as our Advocacy Director for our Veterinary business).Reporting to the General Manager ANZ, you will be responsible for overseeing and advancing the Veterinary channels in alignment with the objectives of the Royal Canin - ANZ Market strategy.You will play a pivotal role in contributing significantly to sustaining the continued success of the nutrition category, as well as elevating our brand's visibility.As an integral member of the ANZ Leadership team, you will not only shape the direction of the business unit but also foster collaboration and alignment with other functions. In addition, you will lead the vet sales teams direction, and enhance health marketing capabilities that play a crucial role in our overall organizational success.What would be your key responsibilities?Based in Melbourne, you will be accountable for;
  • Strategy Definition: Develop and implement the Veterinary Professional Advocacy in line with the Global strategy.
  • Performance Enhancement: Improve veterinary recommendations, financial outcomes, and overall performance by establishing and monitoring Sales & Marketing metrics.
  • Visionary Leadership: Create a compelling vision and align the team with the business strategy and roadmap.
  • Collaborative Engagement: Collaborate with global and regional teams to execute robust programs and innovations for Pet Professional Advocacy.
  • Execution Planning: Design and implement the annual demand operating plan (sales and marketing) in alignment with the strategy and Royal Canin financial targets.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Cultivate enduring partnerships and relationships with key Veterinary customers and industry stakeholders.
  • Capability Building: Develop marketing and sales capabilities within the Veterinary Professional function to support business ambitions.
  • Engagement and Cultural Leadership: Champion engagement, serving as a role model to foster a culture of expertise and performance aligned with the company's 5 principles.
What are we looking for?
  • A demonstrated high competency of commercial acumen coupled with the capacity to identify opportunities and create a desired future state
  • Strong sales, marketing or communications background with knowledge of the veterinary industry
  • Varied knowledge of roles with at least 3 years' experience in a Director level role (Sales, Marketing or Corporate Affairs ideally)
  • Demonstrated ability to confidently and succinctly present and lead communications to a diverse group of stakeholders
  • Exceptional numerate/analytical capability
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a high-performance team, preferably a sales division
  • Resilience to change, dealing with ambiguity and lean organizational structure.
