We have now opened our registration process so apply now to secure a spot in the Picking Team. If you are part of a group or couple, you ALL will need to apply indidually, but please make a note of who you are with so we can ensure you are all grouped together when allocate the picking teams.
Vasse Felix have 4 vineyards located between Busselton, Cowaramup, Margaret River and Karridale, so work may be available at any of these locations, with most of the work to take place at Margaret River and Karridale.
T H E D E T A I L S:
Inductions are likely to commence mid/late January with picking to commence soon after that, it all depends on weather conditions to ensure we pick the fruit at its optimum condition!
How long: All up there could be approximately 20-25 days of work available, with the odd day off in that time frame. The hours will vary depending on the vineyard, but it is usually only a 3-6 hours each morning, starting early around 5.45am - 6.15am. Additional work may be available after this period, depending on operational requirements.
What you need: You will need to have sturdy footwear (enclosed), suitable clothing (no singlets), hats, water bottles and food. We will have re-fill water and try and provide some icy poles and fruit on hot days. We provide all equipment being snips and gloves.
Wages: We pay a base rate of $33.21 during Vintage and $28.81 off Vintage, however we do monitor your productivity by the bucket and where your output is greater than the hourly rate, we will pay you a piece rate. The faster you pick, the more you can earn. As our hourly rates are well above the industry standard there is an expectation that you meet a certain picking level to be offered ongoing picking. Wages are paid fortnightly.
Accommodation: Unfortunately we do not have ANY accommodation on site, you would need to source your own accommodation arrangements.

Regular picking is a requirement to be eligible for these benefits.
