Labourforce are currently seeking Cold Storage (Freezer and Chiller) Pickers for our client located in Murarrie.
Our client is a global organization that delivers leading edge supply chain management systems and cost effective logistics solutions to their customers within the food industry.
Our client operates Monday to Sunday. You will be required to be available for a 5am start, and have a 7 day availability (you will likely work 6 days a week pending volume of work, which will include weekends). In order to succeed long term within this position flexibility is a must. You will receive training and be given enough time to learn the role before you are expected to work within their KPI's. You will have dedicated trainers, team leaders and an onsite presence by Labourforce to ensure your success. For the first 3 months will be working under a probationary pay rate, once you are off probation, your rate of pay will increase.
If you have warehousing experience, and you are looking for a way to start your Cold Storage warehousing career, this role will suit you. If you are someone who already has the experience, you will quickly grow and be provided more responsibilities.
Your day to day:
- Working in a Cold Storage environment. You will likely work between a chiller (-5 degrees) and a freezer (-18 degrees)
- Picking orders for a variety of customers (accuracy is key as the customer orders good as they require them)
- Using an electric pallet jack and a voice picking system to complete your orders
- Stacking, wrapping and staging your pallet once order is completed
About you:
- Cold storage experience advantageous (not required)
- Previous experience with Voice Picking and use of an electric pallet jack is highly desirable
- MUST be able to work a 6 days a week and able to handle up to 10 hour shifts when required
- MUST have current Driver's license and own transport or live within close proximity to Murarrie
- Safety being a high priority
