We are seeking a highly motivated UC Support Engineer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of VoIP technologies and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues. The UC Support Engineer will be responsible for supporting our clients, configuring and maintaining PBX systems, and assisting with implementing new projects.
Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and resolve tickets where an understanding of the SIP protocol, platform architecture, NBN, Network & Carriers is required.
- Provide technical support across various VoIP-based products, i.e., 3CX, Yealink, Fanvil, Grandstream, SNOM, Sennheiser, Poly, and Microsoft Teams.
- Install, configure, and maintain PBX systems.
- Assist with the implementation of new VoIP projects.
- Process NBN orders.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of new VoIP technologies and changes in the field.
- Communicate effectively with clients and colleagues to resolve technical issues.
Requirements:
- Strong knowledge with 3CX.
- Strong understanding of networking protocols and architecture (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and firewalls)
- Knowledge of NBN technologies
- Knowledge of Microsoft Teams Rooms.
- Knowledge of VoIP protocols (SIP, H.323, RTP, and RTCP)
- Knowledge of PBX systems, installation, configuration, and management
- Understanding of cloud communication technologies and how they are used in VoIP solutions.
- Knowledge of audio and video codecs used in VoIP (G.711, G.722, H.264, and VP8)
- Knowledge of security issues and solutions related to VoIP (encryption, authentication, and firewall configuration)
- Ability to adapt to new technologies and changes in the field.
