About the Role
In this role you will be managing a range of volunteers across a variety of programs. You will be responsible for the full life cycle of volunteers looking after recruitment, onboarding, compliance, and Volunteer Engagement. This role is focused on three main volunteer groups being Corporate, Habitat and ReStore (second-hand shop) Volunteers. You will be tasked to provide a positive experience for all volunteers ensuring they are fully engaged and have a quality outcome from their time with Habitat Vic.
You will be required to:
- Recruit and grow the Volunteer Community using different recruiting techniques and channels.
- Coordinate Corporate Volunteering days liaising with a variety of stakeholders.
- Create Volunteering events for Habitat Volunteers ensuring regular activities to help support our build and community assistance programs.
- Look after the lifecycle of ReStore Volunteers, ensuring all rostering needs fulfilled.
- Ensure Volunteer compliance with WHS, Working with Children, and Police Checks.
- Management of the Volunteer Database including maintenance of accurate and timely records, statistics, and reports.
- Assist with development and maintenance of volunteer policies and procedures.
Ideally you will have:
- Demonstrated 3 years plus of experience as a volunteer coordinator.
- Relevant qualifications, such as Certificate IV in Volunteer Program Management, preferred.
- Demonstrated experience with relationship building is a prominent component of your role.
- Strong interpersonal skills, ability to build rapport quickly and work with people at all levels.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Preferred experience in volunteer lifecycle.
- Strong attention to detail and a dedication to data integrity.
- experience in a volunteer database management.
- Proactive, values driven, resilient and honest.
- Proven ability to liaise at all levels within the organisation and external organisations, i.e. corporate clients, schools, universities and other stakeholder.

We are based in Kilsyth South and this role will be working 18 hours per week, with the possibility to split the time over 3-4 days.
