Ward Clerk
Maternity & Gynaecology Unit

Fixed Term Part Time – 64 hours per fortnight

June 2024 until November 2025 (secondment backfill)

Managers & Admin Officers Grade 1A (HS1A)

We are looking for a motivated, experienced and enthusiastic person to join our team as a Ward Clerk in the Maternity & Gynaecology Unit.  This role requires a strong focus on patient liaison and reception support to the Maternity & Gynaecology team. The position will include a range of computer work including data entry and electronic diary and patient management, reception duties and clerical duties as assigned, and filing, report generation and distribution.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Sound knowledge of office procedures and reception skills
  • Highly developed organisational and interpersonal skills
  • Keyboard skills and data entry experience
  • Solid computer skills, with proficiency in the usage of Microsoft Office products.
  • Experienced in the use of IPM, Oracle and hospital database systems.
  • Capacity to undertake training in new patient management programs
  • Capability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Commitment to confidentiality requirements of the organisation
  • Experience in the use of VINAH would be considered advantageous.

IMPORTANT: All staff employed in the healthcare sector are required to be fully vaccinated (3 doses) for COVID-19 and influenza (unless a valid exemption applies). Evidence of vaccination (or exemption) will be required to be provided prior to commencement.
