Position Summary:
We are seeking hardworking and highly organised Warehouse Assistants (Stock Receiving & General Warehouse) to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with the day-to-day operations of the warehouse. The ideal candidate will have excellent organisational skills, be able to work independently and as part of a team, and have a strong eye for detail.
There are multiple positions available. It is crucial you are available before and during the Christmas and New Year period. Hours may span across Monday to Friday, between 7:00am and 7:00pm and Saturday between 7:00am and 5:00pm. You will work from our warehouse based in Kunda Park. Hours range from 20-38hours per week. Responsibilities:
Stock Receiving Assistant
- Receive and process incoming stock
- Manage and ensure accuracy of stock counts
- Barcode/label stock when required
- Enter and maintain stock data/records in warehouse management system and verify in ecommerce platform
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised work and warehouse environment
- Assist with other warehouse duties if needed such as picking and packing, returns, putbacks etc.
- Operate and maintain warehouse equipment (if licenced)
- Support General Warehouse, Dispatch, Returns or Store Support departments when required
General Warehouse Assistant
- Organise and coordinate warehouse in preparation for incoming stock
- Receive incoming stock from couriers
- Organise stock and pallets neatly in incoming delivery zones
- Identify and categorise pallets in pallet staging area
- Coordinate and organise the transfer of stock into stock receiving zone as required
- Operate pallet jack when required
- Operate forklift if licenced and required
- Arrange pallet recycling
- Support Stock Receiving and Dispatch departments when required
- General maintenance of Warehouse and storage facilities
Requirements:
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Sound communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, up to 25kgs
- Previous experience in a warehouse or similar environment desired but not essential
- Ability to operate a forklift and other warehouse equipment desired but not essential
