Main duties / Responsibilities:
This role includes customer service.
- Opening and closing of the warehouse
- Completion of daily / weekly warehouse tasks
- Assembly of furniture and some assistance setting up appliances in customers' homes and in store
- Accurate completion of paperwork with customers and suppliers
- Timely and accurate distribution of incoming and outgoing goods within our store and warehouse
- Maintain cleanliness of delivery vehicles
- General warehouse duties as required
- Delivery of stock to customers in a timely and professional manner
- Troubleshoot basic issues with TV’s and some appliances in customers' homes / businesses.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Experience:
- Current manual driver’s license (open license) with clean record is preferred
- Store picker license is preferred but not essential as we will provide the training to obtain this license if needed.
- Customer Service focused.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Highly motivated and have great attention to detail.
- Highly organised and have great time management skills.
- Motivated and willing to learn.
- Adhere to OH&S policies and procedures.
- Work well in a team environment
- Physically fit to perform repetitive manual handling.
- Flexible across retail trading hours including weekends, some public holidays and late-night trade.
- Previous delivery driving / warehouse experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities /
Personal Attributes:
- Store persons and Delivery Drivers are generally the last point of contact for customers, you must therefore have excellent customer service skills and be sensitive to customer needs.
- Confident with basic technology / computers
- Experience with conflict resolution
- Basic Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) would be valuable but not essential.
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Excellent telephone skills
- Organised
- Excellent personal presentation
- Attentive to detail and excellent record keeping skills.
- The ability to take ownership of an issue and be prepared to see it through is essential, as is the ability to work to timelines and ensure that commitments made are always kept.
- You will work as a team and each person should feel comfortable working in a team environment and be willing to assist anyone on any aspect of the work.
- Retail has a broad range of working hours and people will need to be flexible in their working hours to ensure a high level of service is always provided. This will involve working some Saturday’s.
Performance Measurements:
- Store procedures followed at all times and within OH&S standards.
- Timesheets always completed OH&S requirements and payroll.
- Tasks including those given to staff members completed efficiently, to a high standard and within timeframes provided.
- Basic Knowledge of POS / Inventory system and all store processes & procedures
- Deal with clients, suppliers and other employees professionally at all times
