Looking for a fresh start in 2024? NEC Australia has a great opportunity for an experienced Warehouse Manager to lead our operations in the ACT

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Warehouse Manager to lead our ACT Warehouse Operations. As the Warehouse Manager you will be responsible for overseeing the daily functions of the warehouse, ensuring seamless coordination between receiving, order processing, dispatch, stock management and transport management. Your role will also involve ensuring compliance with safety regulations and whilst working in an encouraging, people focused environment.

About the role

As the Warehouse Manager, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Implementation and enforcement of WHS&E policies and procedures within both Warehouse and Office spaces;
  • Maintain accuracy in stock receiving and order picking;
  • Support Customer Engineers in fulfilling requests and infrastructure requirements;
  • Oversee daily warehouse reports and tasks;
  • Manage warehouse budget and expenses;
  • Proactively handle WHS&E reporting and incidents;
  • Conduct regular stock management activities including cycle counts and stocktakes;
  • Drive warehouse and distribution efficiency projects;
  • Ensure professional and efficient communication with employees, customers, and suppliers.

To be successful, you will possess the following:

  • Australian Citizenship - essential
  • Certificates or qualifications in Warehousing/Supply Chain Operations essential.
  • Experience in forklift operation and relevant qualifications highly desirable.
  • First Aid qualifications highly desirable.
  • Previous experience in a similar Warehouse role highly desirable.
  • Knowledge and experience of the storage and handling of IT Infrastructure;
  • Strong customer service skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
  • Exceptional organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Highly motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
