Job description
On behalf of our client, successful food manufacturer located in Ballarat, who distributes their products both nationally and internationally, gforce is currently seeking a Warehouse Operator to join their growing team.
About the Role
The Warehouse Operator will be part of a team responsible for the safe, efficient, and effective coordination of the warehousing and logistics functions required, by actioning the day-to-day operational processes for receipt of all purchases, inventory management, and the complete inbound and outbound logistics and distribution requirements.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Always ensure appropriate measures are taken to manage the food safety requirements of the business
Ensure that all SOPs are always followed and where an SOP does not exist or opportunities for improvement exist take the initiative to work with co-workers to improve systems of work
Action pick, pack, kit assembly, receipt, put away, despatch and delivery activities as required in line with defined SOPs to ensure we meet or exceed internal and external requirements and expectations
Liaising with transport providers to ensure collections and deliveries are scheduled efficiently in a cost-effective manner to meet appropriate delivery requirements
Maintain warehousing inventory accuracy including stocktakes, cycle counts and as required investigating inventory variances and placing appropriate corrective actions in place
Ensure that warehouses reflect the required standards of housekeeping and align with required GMP
Constantly strive to action warehousing activities in line with worlds best practices and seek opportunities to improve
An expectation of reasonable overtime to meet the needs of the role as described above including early/late truck load/unload
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Certificate III in Supply Chain Operations, Warehousing Operations, or relevant work experience
Food manufacturing/warehousing with allergen environment experience desirable
Current Forklift Licence is mandatory
RF Scanning experience
Critical thinker, excellent analytical skills, strong decision maker
Excellent time management and organisational skills
Able to work autonomously and as part of a small team
Positive team building style with strong communication skills
The successful candidate will be required to undergo a pre-employment medical and drug screen.
