About the role
As a Warehouse Picker, you will be responsible for accurately picking and packing orders for shipment, maintaining inventory levels, and ensuring the warehouse is organized and clean.
To be successful in this role you will required to perform the following functions:
- Ability to plan, manage and manufacture production orders effectively by product grouping, decantering, barcoding and move within the MES system into the correct areas ensuring that stock integrity is maintained.
- When required prepare weekly raw materials for production in accordance to Pick paperwork from MES - advise shortages, BOM discrepancies
- Return of completed materials daily (finish & raw) count/weigh correctly, place in correct warehouse position, barcoded and ensuring that stock integrity is maintained, investigating any shortages and correcting as required (notifying Production Manager)
- Removal of external wraps prior to entry in production area
- Refill daily bulk raw materials for production, barcode and move within the MES system
- Inventory control- maintain danger levels, weigh of ingredients and reprint barcodes if require. Ability to plan, manage (on call while production is operation)warehouse tasks and employee to complete all and manufacture production orders, customer orders effectively, ensuring that stock integrity is maintained, investigating any shortages and correcting as required – notifying Production Manager if consuming is needed
- Continuous contact with Planner and Production Supervisor to ensure ingredients are ready for production.
- Inventory control- maintaining danger levels, weekly and monthly inventory checks
- Arrange transport requirements for dispatch, complete con note, pallet transfers, print labels, complete details in Dispatch Screen MES system and check dispatch prior to leaving and ensure ‘Ship as they go’
- Control and maintain pallet hire accounts including quality control
- Ensure and receive when required- all paperwork for received material is correct ref to goods receive sheet, Receival screen in Mes system, record damages on all dockets, pallet transfers are completed and is entered in MES supervisor system correct
- Plan, manage and complete all Stock transfer sheets as required
- Manage staff roster in accordance to delivery times and production requirements
- Ability to plan, manage, train and assess Production/Warehouse employees

- Daily housekeeping required- removal of waste, washing of bins, Forklift checks etc
- Waste disposal control

- Overall responsibility for managing the warehouse staff and leads a diverse team. Ensuring targets are achieved with maximum efficiency within constraints of GMP, HACCP and OH&S, and other warehouse related issues such as maintenance and general housekeeping.
- Ensure Industry Best Practices are met by ensuring wastage, efficiency and any other operations-related continuous improvement initiatives are supported and driven to achieve results – KPI’s.
- Overall responsibility for managing the production staff and leads a diverse team. Ensuring targets are achieved with maximum efficiency within constraints of GMP, HACCP and OH&S, and other production related issues such as maintenance and general housekeeping. Assisting other areas in Warehouse if required
- Follow QA policies and procedures
- Traceability throughout the warehouse by the use of the MES computer system is required
Experience
Ideally have come from a food warehouse background include knowledge of GMP, HACCP, receival and dispatch experience. Working with in a team environment with a strong ability to follow instruction, organize ones work and work unsupervised.

- Knowledge of IT systems is a must
Qualifications
- Certificate II in Warehouse and Distribution
- Forklift license
