The Position
The purpose of this role is to Supervise and direct all stores and inventory personnel located within the Warehouse to ensure a high level of service to other CEA Departments.
Our ideal candidate will have knowledge of a stores/warehousing environment, experience with hand tools and moisture handling and component recognition. They will have well-developed interpersonal skills, including customer service skills, the ability to prioritise tasks and experience meeting strict deadlines. This is a high performing team that thrives in a positive workplace environment and culture.
This role is responsible for:
- Supervise Stores / Warehousing Officers carrying out kit picking and warehouse stocking duties.
- Train and mentor staff in the correct procedures for recording of all transactions.
- Supervise and report on safety initiatives.
- Manage the day-to-day performance of the warehouse team.
- Handle all administration associated with supervising a team including rostering and task allocation.
- Make recommendations to the Materials Manager for improvements and processes and procedures.
- Maintain and update work instructions as required.
- Using the computerised inventory control system (PRONTO) to monitor stock levels.
Essential
- AGSVA clearance level: Baseline.
- Proven experience as a Warehouse Supervisor or in a similar role.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in Warehouse management or logistics..
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong Knowledge of warehouse operations and best practices
- Excellent organisational and multitasking skills.
- Proficient in inventory management software and other relevant technology.
- Ability to solve problems quickly and efficiently.
Eligibility
To be eligible for this position, you must be:
- An Australian Citizen;
- Eligible to obtain and maintain an AGSVA clearance (Baseline)
