This role will work for Volvo Commercial Vehicles (VCV), who are the primary commercial vehicle distribution centre’s for Volvo Trucks and Buses, Mack Trucks and UD Trucks.

What you will do

The Costing Clerk role is a stand alone role but works closely with the greater Workshop team at Volvo Commercial Vehicles (VCV) Gold Coast. Your day to day responsibilities will include:

  • Handle customer service-related queries 
  • Manage customer invoicing, purchase orders and warranty claim preparation
  • Ensure receipting and system data input of all workshop invoices is correct and up to date
  • Offer occasional support on the front counter, including answering calls, making bookings and creating job cards.
  • Manage warranty parts inventory for claims
  • Create and manage vehicle service schedules for contract vehicles
  • Work closely with workshop supervisors to ensure job quality, timeframes and warranty items
  • Provide general administration support for the Administration Supervisor.

Your future team

You will be working as part of the team at our VCV dealership in Carrara, supporting our workshop and valued customers. Reporting to the Workshop Manager, the team of 23 workshop staff are made up of Mechanics, Auto-Electricians, Apprentices, Service Advisor’s and a Costing Clerk. You’ll be working Monday to Friday with hours approximately 7:00am to 3:00pm, however there is flexibility with start and finish times. There may be minimal overtime required, especially at end of month. We’re a close knit team and we are looking for someone who takes initiative, builds relationships easily and can join us on our growth journey. 

Who are you?

  • Previous experience in a service support, warranty, costing or invoicing role, or a technical automotive role
  • Automotive industry experience is ideal
  • Proficient with numbers and systems including the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Passionate about providing exceptional customer service
  • Strong communication skills with an ability to partner with non-finance minded people
  • A positive and team focused outlook
