About the role

Due to expanding business we currently have an opportunity for a highly motivated and safety focused Washbay Manager. This is a permanent full-time position, with an immediate start in our Prestons Washbay, just off the M7, South West Sydney.

The key focus of this role is to maintain our high fleet presentation standards whilst ensuring the site is kept tidy, presentable and hazard free.

 This role will entail but is not limited to:

  • Overseeing and supporting Washbay operations through the coordination and management of the Prestons site.
  • Managing a small team of Washbay employees.
  • Ensuring accurate wash records including charges are kept and distributed to Operations daily.
  • Washing (C.I.P) tanker trailers daily and ensuring turnaround times are met.
  • Washing chemical tanker trailers as require by operations.
  • Moving tankers in and out of the Washbay.
  • Maintenance of the site to ensure that it is tidy, presentable and hazard free. 
  • Coordinating the delivering of timely and efficient Washbay operations, aligned with divisional standards.
  • Providing operational support to deliver ‘service excellence’ in alignment with business expectations and legislative requirements. 
  • Liaising with external stakeholders to ensure KPIs are met.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have a strong work ethic, pride in yourself and your “can- do” attitude and be passionate about the transport industry. You will enjoy a varied workday and strive in a fast-paced, “hands on” environment. 

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • A current H/C or M/C licence (preferred).
  • Experience in managing a small team.
  • The ability to work within a team environment as well as autonomously.
  • The ability to problem solve and take initiative.
  • Proven time management, planning, and organisational skills.
  • A strong focus on doing the job safely and compliantly.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Basic Microsoft Outlook and Excel knowledge (Preferred not essential).
