Wastewater Assistant Crew Member
- Permanent Full Time Opportunity
- 38-hour week 9-day fortnight (Rostered Days Off)
- Salary Ranging from $53,979.64 - 62,616.84 p.a + 11% Superannuation (Depending on Experience and Qualifications)
The Opportunity
The function of a Wastewater Assistant Crew Member within the network is to assist with undertaking a range of activities including inspection, maintenance, repair and renewal of the water & wastewater network assets. The incumbent will generally follow instructions and carry out work in accordance with adopted practices and procedures complying with safe work method statements.
The work undertaken is of a physical nature, may include working in adverse conditions in adverse weather day or night. This position includes working across different work teams to meet business needs assisting in a variety of routine manual labour and skilled tasks.
Essential Criteria
- A willingness to undertake Certificate III in Water Industry Operations or equivalent trade qualification in the wastewater industry;
- A commitment to participate in and learn maintenance activities related to wastewater network assets, including competencies in operation of large/small plant, tools and equipment;
- Good level of communication and literacy skills and ability to work as part of a team;
- WHS Construction Induction White Card or willingness to obtain one
- A willingness to undertake Confined Spaces qualifications
- A willingness to undertake Medium Rigid (MR) Drivers Licence.
