Primary Purpose of Position

Reporting to the WCF Events Team, the Game Day Casual is responsible for assisting in the coordination, administration and delivery of all WCF Home Games at RAC Arena. Game Day Casuals will undertake a number of different roles throughout the season, rotating roles per game, including responsibilities as Workforce Supervisors, Commercial Operations (Back of House) Supervisors and Match operations (Field of Play) Supervisors.

Responsibilities and Duties

Workforce Supervisor

• Manage all workforce paperwork and update accordingly;

• Issue the appropriate accreditation and Game Day uniforms to all workforce; and

• Brief Ball patrol on their role and how to conduct themselves on court.

Fever Alley Coordinator

• Coordinate Bump in, bump out and correct set up of all activations in their allocated activation areas.

• Check and distribute any equipment required each Game Day in Fever Alley and report any maintenance required or lost item.

• Ensure signage is set up according to the WCF Signage Plan and remains in place during activations.

Field of Play (FOP) Supervisor

• Assist WCF Event Staff with Bump in, Bump out and FOP set up.

• Ensure signage and branding is set up according to Netball Australia (NA) and WCF Signage Plan.

• Coordinate distribution and collection of FOP equipment and specific requirements of teams, bench officials and umpires during matches.

Back of House (BOH) Supervisor

• Ensure signage and branding is set up according to the specific areas Signage Plans and remains in place during each time frame required.

• Ensure all BOH areas including the team change rooms are set up in accordance to the NA, team and venue specifications.

• Coordinate distribution and collection of BOH equipment.

Other

• Adhere to and comply with NWA policies and procedures

• Any other duties within the Employee's capabilities and which is reasonable to expect the Employee to undertake as directed by Chief Executive Officer or Event Staff from time to time.

Qualifications and Experience

Essential

• Must be available to work weekends

• Must be able to complete all physical requirements of the job

• Practical understanding of OH&S practices such as lifting/moving equipment safely

• At all times ensure a Child Safe environment

• Must be able to demonstrate an understanding of appropriate behaviours when engaging with children

• Comply with the Netball Australia Member Protection Policy and Child Safeguarding Policy

• Comply with the WA Working with Children Check (WWCC) Legislation which means:

o If your usual duties involve, or are likely to involve, contact with a child under 18 you will be required to obtain a WWCC;

o If you fall into a WWCC exemption category a National Police Clearance Certificate is required

Essential Personal Attributes

• Demonstrated desire and ability to take initiative and work proactively

• Demonstrated desire and ability to achieve high quality results through attention to detail

• Demonstrated professional and practical approach to working with customers and other stakeholders

Desired

• Current First Aid Certificate

• Current WA “C” class driving licence

• Experience working in Events, specifically within the Sport sector

Hours of Work

This is a casual role working weekends in conjunction with WCF home game events.

Salary

Salary will be paid in accordance with the Amusement, Events and Recreation Award 2020 with an hourly rate ranging between $21.20 to $33.76 inclusive of casual loading plus superannuation. The rate will be dependent on age and role responsibility.

Child Safeguarding

NWA as a child safe organisation require all applicants that will work with children to undergo an extensive screening process prior to appointment.
