This is a full-time fixed-term (to 30 January 2024) position at HEP 7, $90,891 - $98,385 classification, plus 17% employer superannuation contribution.

About the role

This position sits within the Web Services team and is primarily responsible for the sourcing, planning, layout design, publishing and review of digital content for our primary website ( ). The Web Content Coordinator will edit web content, while also liaising with staff of various levels, largely lower to middle management. This role will be required to undertake some small pieces of project work and also share responsibility within our friendly and supportive team for service of operational web content requests.

About the person
Your main strengths and experience include your web writing and editing skills, your ability to work with others to ensure high quality outcomes and to juggle multiple projects on-the-go. You will be adept at prioritising conflicting work priorities and have solid organisation skills to assist you in this. Work experience in a tertiary environment will place you in good stead for this role, though it is not critical.

Duties
An example of duties you may perform will include:
  • Sourcing, creating and editing content on the VU website
  • Coordinating projects to deliver new or updated content for any area across the University
  • Migrating and improving content as part of a CMS migration project
  • Suggesting and developing improvements to our content delivery practices and guidelines, at either the team level and/or across the organisation.
Skills & expertise

  • Knowledge of best practice content delivery in a large organisation (e.g. familiarity with content management systems and other digital tools)
  • Knowledge and experience ensuring online content complies with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.1 Level AA)
  • Ability to work with a range of staff and stakeholders across multiple projects simultaneously
  • Familiarity with project coordination and user centred design approach to developing digital products and services
