Due to internal movement this higher education provider is seeking a talented Website Producer to join our dynamic team for a 3 month contract.
Role Overview:
This organisation is looking for an experienced Website Producer to oversee the development and maintenance of particular websites. As a Website Producer, you will be responsible for ensuring the website meets the highest standards of usability, accessibility, and functionality. Working closely with various stakeholders including faculty, staff, and students, this role will play a pivotal role in enhancing the online experience for the community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day operation of the university website, including content updates, troubleshooting, and performance monitoring.
- Collaborate with internal departments to gather requirements, develop new features, and implement website enhancements.
- Ensure compliance with web standards, accessibility guidelines, and best practices in web development.
- Conduct regular quality assurance testing to identify and resolve any issues related to website functionality, usability, and performance.
- Stay informed about emerging trends and technologies in web development, and make recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Provide training and support to content contributors and website users as needed.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in web development, content management, or a similar role.
- Experience with content management systems (CMS), preferably Squiz but not a must have.
- Strong understanding of web accessibility standards (WCAG), SEO best practices, and responsive design principles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Detail-oriented mindset with a passion for delivering high-quality digital experiences.
- Experience in the education sector or with academic websites is a plus.
