About the Role:

We are excited to announce a new opportunity within our Site Leadership Team at the Tarpeena site, due to significant investment in capital projects and facility upgrades. We are seeking a Weekend Supervisor to join our dynamic team. This role is crucial in ensuring the effective management of our maintenance operations over the weekend as well as overseeing the Manufacturing Facility, including supervising contractors and weekend operations throughout the whole Tarpeena site. 

This permanent, full-time position reports directly to the Maintenance Manager and is based at our Tarpeena facility, just 20 minutes from Mount Gambier.

Working Hours:

  • Friday, Saturday, and Sunday: 10 hours each day
  • Monday: 8 hours

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Providing leadership and supervision across the maintenance department and all production related activities during weekends.
  • Overseeing the maintenance of all manufacturing assets to maximize uptime and efficiency.
  • Managing the maintenance budget and resources, including contractors and major site shutdowns.
  • Developing and managing a highly effective predictive and preventative maintenance program.
  • Ensuring all operations comply with environmental, health, and safety standards.
  • Contributing to capital plans and continuous improvement projects.

Qualifications and Qualities You Will Bring to Timberlink:

  • Trade Qualification (Mechanical or Electrical)
  • Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience in a maintenance role
  • Experience in the timber industry or significant heavy industry/manufacturing
  • Proven ability in planning and prioritizing work effectively
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to drive cultural and systemic changes
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
