Since then Vawdrey has moved on to be Australia's largest independent trailer builder, Vawdrey aims to consistently improve the standard of design and quality within the country's trailer building industry.
We are currently recruiting for experienced and enthusiastic Fabricators/ Welders/ Body Builders to work at our workshop in Eastern Creek, NSW.
Primary responsibilities include
- Maintaining and repairing semi trailers and rigid truck bodies, including but not limited to: doors, roof sheets, roof rails etc.
- Ability to weld steel 1.6mm – 16mm ( MIG) and alloy 2 – 6mm ( MIG)
- Ability to perform curtain welding and basic auto electrical jobs or willing to learn
- Ability to fabricate and interpret diagrams
- Be able to read and interpret job cards, record works carried out in detailed job logs within timelines.
To be successful in this role, you will have
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Experience in a smash repairs workshop highly desirable
- Basic painting skills highly desirable
- Technical Trade qualification is desirable
- Experience in metal fabrication, preferably in vehicle manufacturing industry
