Job description
The Wetland Restoration Ecologist provides Wetland Restoration and management advice to landholders and other stakeholders. This includes liaising with landholders and facilitating the development of restoration projects on private and public land. A core part of this role is focused on delivering LC Landscape Board project milestones related to Wetland Restoration and conservation by providing expert advice to project leaders, or by managing Wetland Restoration projects.Special Conditions:Position can be based at Mount Gambier or Naracoorte.A current minimum class C driver's licence and willingness and ability to safely operate a 4WD is required.Appointment will be subject to a satisfactory criminal history check.Will have the opportunity to participate in fire management or associated duties.Some out of hours work and intrastate travel involving overnight absences from home may be required.Required to participate in the LC Landscape Board's Performance Development and Review Program.Full-time 12 month contract (37.5 hours per week) Enquiries to: Robert Andrew, Team Leader Habitat Conservation, 0428 645 664, Robert.Andrew@sa.gov.auApplications to: I Work for SA The Limestone Coast Landscape Board is committed to building a diverse and inclusive workplace.
