This role requires a keen understanding of risk management principles and their application within the energy sector. You will collaborate closely with internal teams to develop and implement effective risk management strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct risk assessments and identify potential risks in Wholesale energy markets.
- Develop risk management strategies to mitigate identified risks.
- Analyse market trends and assess potential impacts on risk.
- Prepare detailed reports on risk analysis findings.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders to understand risk appetite and tolerance.
- Monitor risk exposures and escalate issues as necessary.
- Support the development of risk policies and procedures.
- Participate in risk committee meetings and provide input on risk matters.
- Collaborate with trading and finance teams to ensure risk metrics are accurately captured.

- Assist in regulatory filings and reporting related to risk management.
- Provide training and support to internal teams on risk management practices.
- Continuously review and improve risk management processes.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or related field.
- Experience in risk management within the energy sector preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of energy markets and trading products.
- Proficiency in risk management tools and software.
