The role
In this role, your focus is to assist in efficient workplace health and safety management across PeopleKind Group. You will advise and co-ordinate the development and delivery of a wide range of work heath and safety, workers compensation and rehabilitation and employee wellbeing programs and initiatives.
The role will be based in Burswood with ad-hoc travelling required across our Perth Metro locations.
Your duties
- Work with and support the PeopleKind Group management team to be proactive in and oversea all aspects of workplace health and safety
- Maintain and amend PeopleKind Group’s Safety Management System and all associated documentation, including identifying and assessing risks and developing controls to minimise risk
- Plan and co-ordinate activities of health and safety representatives to ensure health and safety targets and objectives are achieved in line with the annual plan
- Conduct periodic workplace inspections and risk assessments as directed
- Assist the provision of all workplace health and safety ad risk management education, training and development to relevant internal and external stakeholders and staff at PeopleKind Group e.g. Manual handling, emergency procedure etc.
- Ensure that all incidents reported are investigated in a timely manner and that appropriate corrective action is taken, supporting documentation is completed and relevant reports are completed
- Coordinate treatment and attend appointments to assist in return to work
- Liaise with government inspectorates and other authorities.

About you:
- You will have significant experience in a Work Health & Safety related role within a service delivery environment
- Have an appropriate qualification in workplace health and safety management
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills in order to develop and maintain effective relationships, work with others in a constructive and collaborative manner, and to be able to influence and negotiate
- Strong analysis, project management and report writing skills
- Australian Drivers Licence
- NDIS Worker’s Screening Check (or willing to obtain one)
