Wild Rangers is looking for a bubbly, motivated, enthusiastic and confident person to join our team of Wildlife Educators.
You must be passionate about Wildlife Education and be able to work with young children.
Wild Rangers HQ is based in Reedy Creek on the Gold Coast and we cover the Gold Coast areas, Brisbane, Northern New South Wales and surrounding areas with our Australian native wildlife.
Some of our animals include snakes, crocodiles, lizards, turtles, possums, gliders, birds, frogs and invertebrates.
To be a successful applicant, you must:
- Be super reliable
- Have a current driver's license and reliable car (work vehicles are provided for our shows)
- Have or are willing to obtain a Blue Card (QLD) and Working with Children Check (NSW)
- Be confident and comfortable presenting to large groups of both adults and children
Previous experience working with and caring for Wildlife and/or children would be an advantage but not essential.
A tertiary degree in Wildlife Science, a Certificate III in Captive Animal Management or equivalent qualifications is desired but not essential.
Successful applicants will:
- Provide educational presentations to schools, childcare centres, outside school hours care, birthday parties, public events, shopping centres and more.
- Provide the highest level of husbandry and welfare to all of the animals in our care
- Work a 7-day roster (Must be available weekends)
- Be available for approx 15-30 hours per week
As this position requires a significant amount of travel, it is ideal if you live within 45 minutes of Reedy Creek.
