A career opportunity: Wind Farm Technician (Electrical)
We have an opportunity for a Wind Turbine Technician to join the team at the Woolnorth Wind Farm. This role is a key part of a small team maintaining, operating and improving Wind Turbines and other plant and equipment.
Generally working pairs/small teams, you will be responsible for servicing, routine and non-routine maintenance tasks, troubleshooting, diagnosis and repair of wind turbine components and associated record-keeping.
Working a 9-on/5-off roster, you will enjoy being home every night and every second weekend off.
Please note that it is a requirement that successful candidates live in (or can imminently relocate to) Circular Head in far north-western Tasmania.
About you:
Technical aptitude, a great work ethic and ability to work in a collegial, team environment are all qualities we seek.
Our ideal candidate has:
- A current Electrical trade qualification
- At least 2 years’ experience working in an electrical trade environment, ideally working with wind turbines or industrial equipment
- High voltage training and experience
- The ability to work at heights
- A strong commitment to safety and a safe working environment
- Good communication skills, a positive attitude and ability to work well with others.
This role requires working at heights, maneuvering in confined spaces and is physical in nature. The successful applicant will require the physical capacity to undertake the work and to work at heights.
