About the Role

Reporting to the Resource and Capacity Planning Manager, the WOC - Relationship Manager will act as the operational interlock and single point of contact for contractor field escalations related to NBN workflow execution.

The Relationship Manager will act as a single point of contact for managing operational escalations between the SDP field workforce, and the NBN Control Tower.

What you'll be doing:

  • Support in day-to-day operational activities including contractor performance analysis, process compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Shall provide guidance, assistance, and support to the team and all stakeholders to drive the contractual performance expectations for the business
  • Promoting and maintaining the company's ongoing determination to improve its performance
  • Communicating, promoting, and demonstrating Ventia values
  • Assist with the implementation of change (advocate) to achieve positive outcomes for the business
  • Engage with all peers and stakeholders to ensure a healthy, successful working environment
  • An excellent understanding of the field service operational business is a must as direct engagement and negotiation with SDP Field and NBN Control Tower stakeholders is key to building a collaborative and one team approach. The role must achieve the right balance between customer, field, and Control Tower objectives
  • The Relationship Manager will have visibility of daily performance across SDP field workforce and NBN Control Tower and will be pivotal in end-to-end success, identifying roadblocks that impact performance and collaborating across SDP field and NBN Control Tower is a key accountability
  • The Relationship Manager will also be accountable for the capturing and tracking of escalations and other identified improvement opportunities. The ability to interpret and facilitate quick resolutions is a key success criterion of role
  • The Relationship Manager will be co located within NBN Control Tower and will be required to attend and actively participate in weekly tactical and operational performance meetings relevant to their respective SDP business. Other meetings will include innovation forums and operational improvement workshops

The Relationship Manager will need to have a strategic and innovation mindset to support key transformation initiatives whilst representing their respective SDP organisation business objectives.

Thought leadership along with an objective and balanced mindset are key character traits required for the role.

About You

To ensure success in this role, you should possess experience ideally working in telecommunications and/or construction fields experience accompanied with:

  • Sound computing skills; MS Office and with Work order management systems
  • Experienced in contractor activities, performance and compliance
  • A thorough understanding of the operational environment in a telecommunications technical service centre or utility industry is desirable
