Main Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain a sustainable Health and Safety management system to ensure compliance with legislative and regulatory requirement.
- Promote a positive safety culture through the active management of WHS management systems, including providing specialist advice, support, training and education to staff.
- Apply contemporary risk management practice, undertake incident investigation and reporting, and facilitate WHS working groups including Health and Safety Representatives, First Aid Officers, and Emergency wardens.
- Prepare regular reporting and analysis for the executive leadership team, governance committees, Departments and other stakeholders to assist in monitoring the effectiveness and compliance of clients management system.
- Provide leadership, through effective personal, professional communication, and interpersonal capabilities and change management as well as team and strategic capabilities.
- Maintain records and provide monthly statistics of all Safety, Health related incidents including: lost time injuries, all other injuries, first aid treatments and near misses
- Understand, interpret and ensure compliance with all statutory, legislative, regulatory and corporate governance requirements and standards.
- Retain awareness of existing and emerging statutory, legislative, regulatory and corporate governance requirements.
- Develop and maintain WHS policies, procedures and documentation, and contribute to solutions for challenging Health and Safety issues in partnership with relevant work groups.

- Participate in networks and manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure legislative contractual requirements are met for contractor and enhance WHS contractor management systems.
- Deliver safety reports, audit and inspection findings, including the reporting of hazards, incidents near misses and non-conformances to support executive decision making and enable actions for continuous improvement.
- Coach and support leaders to drive & influence proactive safety behaviours and processes.
- Any other duties as directed having regards skills, experience and knowledge.
Ideal Candidate will have:
- Tertiary qualification Bachelor of Science (Health Safety and Environment) or relevant qualification.
- C class Drivers licence
- National Police Clearance not older than 3 months
- White Card
- Work rights in Australia
- ICAM or equivalent investigation qualifications
