The Work Health & Safety Foundation (WHS Foundation), established in 1972, is Western Australia’s only not-for-profit Work Health and safety training and service provider.

About the position
We are seeking skilled and knowledgeable WHS practitioners and professionals to join our multi-disciplinary WHS Advisory team. Key tasks and duties of the position include the following:
- Responding to member and client WHS enquiries and requests for assistance.
- Providing general and specialist WHS advice and assistance.
- Developing WHS management system policies, procedures and other documents.
- Conducting WHS reviews, audits, risk assessments and inspections.
- Providing general and specialist WHS advice and assistance.
- Conducting WHS accident / incident investigations.
- Developing and delivering WHS inductions and training.
- Involvement in business development and client relationship development.
Candidate requirements
We are seeking positive, team-oriented, enthusiastic, and self-motivated people with the following:
- Work experience in a WHS or health and safety related role in any industry.
- Tertiary qualification in Health & Safety science, engineering or a WHS related discipline.
- Relevant qualification in training and assessment (or willingness to undertake).
- Sound knowledge of the Work Health and safety legislation and other obligations.
- Strong communication skills including written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
- Developed research, analysis and report writing skills.
- Basic computer skills in Microsoft Office suite including MS Word and PowerPoint.
- Member of the Australian Institute for Health and Safety (AIHS) or eligibility for membership.
- Current motor vehicle driver’s licence.
