Currently operating 3 business units each specialised in Merino Breeding, Maternal Ewe Production & Prime Lamb Production respectively, controlling genetic gain to produce superior production & returns.

The Role 

An opportunity is available to join our team at our Woodstock property near Cowra, running our specialised Prime Lamb operation.  The property runs 11,000dse over 2,000 acres of highly productive, high rainfall, basalt soils.  Joining over 4000 internally bred 1stX ewes producing over 5000 prime lambs annually. 

The position will ideally suit a self-motivated individual passionate about the sheep industry, looking to become part of a young & driven team. Applicants should be looking to extend their skills into a position with more responsibility while remaining hands-on. 

This is the perfect position for an applicant who loves sheep, loves setting and achieving goals and loves achieving great things.  A great role to extend your financial and production literacy in a high production environment, either your first step into management after having gained significant relevant operational experience in the sheep industry or building on your existing experience as a Manager. 

Required experience: 

• Experience in sheep husbandry, pasture and grazing management 
• Superior livestock skills including quality working dogs 
• Experience in farm maintenance, fencing and machinery operation 
• Great work ethic and attention to detail 
• Ability to work autonomously to complete planned tasks efficiently and to a high standard 
• Ability to plan and prioritise  
• Sound understanding of safe work practices

• Take ownership, personal responsibility and be passionate about the industry
• Be physically fit and able to handle the nature of the role 
• Have good working dogs and livestock handling skills  
• Hold a current drivers’ licence 

A lovely renovated 3 bedroom family home with established garden will be supplied and remuneration is commensurate with experience and includes base wage plus super, plus homestead, plus working dog allowance, plus ute.
