About The Role:
The Workplace Relations / Employee Experience Partner will focus on making a positive difference to our culture through uplifting the capability of our leaders in the areas of uplifting performance, resolving conflict and change management. In this advisory role to our P&C Business Partners and leaders, you will address any issues preventing Bendigo Kangan Institute from remaining a great place to work. You will partner with leaders to resolve employee issues and investigations. The role is responsible for drafting and updating related policies and procedures and will take a lead role in launching and embedding any changes.
We are looking for a high calibre ER/IR expert with the skills and ability to support industrial relations negotiations and advocacy for our organisation. You will ensure ER and IR matters are appropriately resolved before Fair Work and other external bodies as well as representing us in working groups with other TAFEs to support enterprise agreement negotiations.

  • Expert knowledge and understanding of relevant industrial relations legislation with the ability to translate that knowledge into practical solutions in a business context
  • A long-term view, as a strategic thinker with a willingness to be 'hands on' and pragmatically deal with matters as they arise
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the processes and procedures that apply in the Fair Work Commission and other forums with the ability to represent our organisation in these environments
  • Demonstrated experience liaising and negotiating with employee representatives on industrial relations issues
  • Demonstrated Experience Partnering with business leads to uplift capability and support the resolution of employee issues and investigations
  • Demonstrated experience supporting large scale organisational change and exceptional influencing skills used to garner buy in to achieve outcomes that apply across organisational levels.
